Who is eligible to shop at The Teacher Supply Warehouse?
We are launching this project with the 35 GCS Title One Schools. As the warehouse grows, we will add more schools.

Can businesses claim a tax deduction when they donate?
The Teacher Supply Warehouse is a project of the Guilford Education Alliance, which is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. In most cases, a business can claim donations as charitable contributions, but each group should rely on the advice of their tax advisors.

How is the Teacher Supply Warehouse funded?
We received generous grants from the Weaver Foundation, the Community Foundation, the Junior League and AIG United Guaranty to get us up and running. In addition, the Fresh Market donated shelving from a recently remodeled store. To keep the doors open year round, we'll need funding and supplies through the generous donations of individuals, corporate and private foundations. If you would like to contribute funding to the Teacher Supply Warehouse, call the Guilford Education Alliance at 841-4332. To contribute supplies, contact GCS at 370-8355.
Are there any items that the Teacher Supply Warehouse does not accept?
We do not accept computers and furniture or appliances that are too large to fit in a teacher's car. For information on other ways you can donate these items to teachers, call GCS at 370-8355.

Will the Teacher Supply Warehouse provide pick-up service for donations?
It is extremely helpful when our donors arrange for delivery to our store, but with the help of our volunteers, we can often figure out a way to get your donation to us.

Can our employees or service organization help by volunteering?
Absolutely! Call the Welfare Reform Liaison Project at 691-5780 for more information.
